I'll be in and around Sydney tomorrow, if you'd like me to drop in for a look. I've got VAS-PC, as well.

Worked out that power not being delivered to pump once car goes from reds to cranking. In the interim, we ran a wire from the rear park lights to the pump to jump it and give it power. Atleast thus allowed me to drive it down the road to my mate who is an auto electrician and he will sought out today at some point.
related to fuel running out or just pure coincidence....who knows???
Thanks again everyone for your help, it is much appreciated

Yeah, ended up being a wiring issue which they ended up tracing to behind the fuse and relay holder.. Go figure. Turs out it was just coincidental . On that note, ive got 2 good spare fuel pumps for a VR6 if anyone interested $50.. lol

Ha - that's what happens when we try to fix via swap out - I've got a spare MAF via that practice

                        Oh well...

This is true, before electrical fault camr into play, I think 99 people out of 10o considering what happened and issues sorrounding would have gone the fuel pump lol
