  • AutoSlick/SlickOnline VR6 Build

    Hello fellow dubbers!

My name is Joe Bellissimo and I'm co-owner of AutoSlick and the office manager at SlickOnline.

We just picked up a 1994 VR6! The good news for me is that this also becomes my weekend car!

While AK (co-owner) has had plenty of experience with dubs, this is actually my first one!
(I will see if I can post up some pictures of the AutoSlick Golf and Ibiza when I have a moment.)

A full list of what we plan to do with it will be updated soon but this is a short list of mods and repairs that we will need to sort out:

    Repairs:
    Alternator

    Upgrades:
    Front and rear bumpers
    JOM foglights
JOM projector headlights (still deciding which versions and wether or not we want eyelids)
    HID Kit
Full LED conversion inside and out
    Badgeless grill
    LED tail lights
    LED side repeaters
    Tow bar
    JOM exhaust
    Calibre/3SDM wheels
    JOM coilovers
Sound system (yet to choose exact setup)

    Now here's the fun bit.

I need to have a discussion with the rest of the team but I'm tossing between N/A mods or going down the path of forced induction.

What the the Watercooled opinion on this?

You got this for an absolute steal mate! Especially with those Ks on it. Keep us updated and get some interior pics up. Good luck and keep an eye on those timing chains!

      Thanks!

Its being towed to the office on Monday and I will take some photos then.

We will sort out the maintenance bits first while we wait for the parts to come in from Germany. Hopefully I can squeeze in a little cruise once the alternator is sorted out!

Boungiorno Joe, great buy and list of mods. In boca al lupo for the build, whether it's NA or forced induction.
There is good research material on the web as there a few US and German VR6 Turbo builds.

              Nice find !
I think u should go NA, because its a more straight forward project.
FI will be a on going/lost project, this path always involves time & money, lots of it too

                    Completed the first upgrade!

Converted the standard upper brake light to LED.

Needed to bore out the lamp holes behind the reflector because the square face on the lamps wouldn't fit.

Very happy with the result, gives a much deeper crimson red colour which is hard to see on the camera.

Using the following lamps: T5 Wedge LED - SMD Type - Pair | SlickOnline - AutoSlick & HomeSlick
