Is this colour not called aubergine?

I am sure thats what everyone in the UK called it.

Nice colour what ever you want to call it.

Some colours have different names in other countries, but that one does look a little eggplant like!!! In a good way!

Enjoying the write-up & the excitement.

          Idle valve/hose thing

So I tried starting my car one day, and it was soo rough. I thought it could have been that is was the morning and it was cold and stuff like that... but it wasn't revving properly/right and idk something was funny about it. But then I drove and it sorta seemed okay, then the more I drove the better it was. Until I stopped the car and turned it on again, still didn't start properly. So I had a look... and then there was this

So I put some tape over it until I fixed it.

What is weird about it though it both ends are different sizes (only by the slightest.. bloody VW), so you either have to get one size too small or one too big, I went with the small and stretched one end with a lighter and pliers.
It's really simple to fix, just an easy pull out and put new one in sorta thing.
This is the hose I used.. lol

It's a little bit awkward to get to, well trying to push it in.. but after a couple of minutes it fit snugg and you'll be able to see both sides touching both walls.

My car started like a charm
I hope this helps anyone else who might also have this problem

              Vento front.

So yes, I got a vento front
Yes it took a long time, I just finished working 8 day splits but I have to be rolling in the cash to afford a euro
              I missed that dancing banana

Here are some pictures of the build...
              From first

              Then lights out

              Then lights in

              Then bonnet in

Then badge and grill respray in satin black
              (before photo ew lol)

Then badge in grill, then grill in!

              To last
Here is a picture of my beautiful car now

                    Nice.

That front lip is killing it though. Heat gun works really well on bringing them back to black if you have one

Ahh cool thanks, I don't but friends do. But I'm thinking of replacing the front bar and lip anyway, it just ruins my car and my life

Heres a vote for a chrome vw badge. Go the OEM look IMO. Classy as ****.

And try and get a vr6 badge for the vento grill.

Yeah I've been thinking about getting the vr6 badge for it, if I do I'll respray the badge back to chrome to match the vr6 one
