Starter Motor vr6 golf 95

Hi there All,

does anyone know where I can source a replacement starter motor in aus for my golf vr6 1995

original part no bosch

0001110086

Any help would be appreciated.

I have been in contact with bosch and they advise that this part no 0001110086 has been superseded by bosch part no

0001125039 main concern is that the pinion gear has gone from 10 to 9 teeth ???

Which is listed for later model (<2000) onwards and from pictures looks a different beasty, can anyone confirm fitment of the later model starter to the earlier model Vr6 manual...

Try Autobarn for one, I got a bosch one for my 2001 golf last week.

Brushes dead and rotor contacts severely pitted...

Might try autobahn as suggested in earlier post.

Thanks but mine looked better than this on the outside before pulling it down, brushes were cactus and rotor severely pitted etc.. cant risk s/h parts going back in considering

new gearbox $2500, new sachs sport clutch etc etc, if I put anything suspect in there I couldn't bear this again
