So today I fitted a new Sony HU with USB input and all that new jazz; major step up from my tapedeck and boot-6 stacker CD. I thought I'd update the speakers later but am having a bit of trouble on what to do. I just want to keep it simple and replace what I've got with something new - no buying amps and fully hectic subs.
The door speakers are easy, simple 6 1/2" speakers but for the dashboard, I know tweeters are preferred as they're "magical" but would it be beneficial replacing the stock tweeters with just plain 4" speakers? I mean, the mount that we've got in there looks like a bugger to work with and I'm not really keen on drilling new holes for new tweeters. And yes, my stock dash tweeters do work
