Vr6 knocking at my feet

Hi gang, when idle, i can feel knocking at my feet. Its not irregular in its timing, bout 4 times a second. Should this be smoother? A friend of mine suggested engine mounts. Any other opinions? Paranoia perhaps? Cheers!

Might be lower control arm bushes.

How did you go, fixed the knock yet? It could also be the exhaust, maybe the cat or some thing hitting on the floor or engine mounts might be getting old. Odd that it is such a fast knock. Good luck.

Not yet, had a few other thing to do first. Engine mounts is something a mate of mine mentioned when i bought it. I think i'll have to systematically repace all bushes and mounts. Strut mounts are in need of replacement, might be time to rebuild all suspension while i'm there...

I had a strange knock on my Mk 3. Took me forever to find it. Turned out it was the front engine mount needed tightening. On a normal Mk3 it was the big allen headed bolt .

Good suggestion, it would account for the tempo/timing of the knock.
