I almost stuffed things up tonight by overtorque-ing the bolts for the plastic housing where the heater hose goes into. Partially snapped the first one and snapped the other one totally before realising what a dope i am.

The motor has been sitting with minimal oil in it for a while, when i fill it back up should i hand crank it first to get the oil going or will it be ok? Anyone chime in?

      Mmmmm shiny and black!!

Btw does anyone know where this bracket comes off? I took it off and now i dont know where it goes!!

Put the clutch in today, fking back breaking stuff half crouching whilst torquing those bolts.

          Old clutch vs new clutch

          Old fly

          New lightened fly

Gonna buy me a peloquin 80% shim kit when pay day hits. Poor mans lsd and apparently easy to install. Ive also bought a remus muffler, some vdo gauges and long wheel bolts + lock bolts.

Theres a few things to do before the gearbox can go back in but i might put the front hubs/brakes on so i can at least get the front wheels on. Still need to get the extractors and intake manifold from the ceramic coaters and then the motor and gearbox will be fully bolted.

Im not gonna enjoy putting the interior back together but ill get to it when it comes lol. At least now im making progress and its all going well with no major hickups

Thanks matt, ive been puzzling over it for a while

Spin the motor over with the plugs out and the coil disconnected until the oil pressure light goes out.

Hmmm it seems that the ecu plug comes out on the drivers side now, where the wiper mechanism is located so ill either have to lengthen the wires to reach the other side (where the ecu normally sits) OR gamble and buy a single wiper kit.

That would be normal, the engine is from a RHD donor isnt it?
