MK3 VR6 fitting rims with wrong size centre bore?

Hi All,
From what i've searched a MK3 vr6 golf has a center bore of 57.1 mm.
Im looking at getting some rims but they have a center bore of 74mm is buying and fitting these rims a bad idea?

I think you should be right just get some hub-centric rings for them

Yeah get a set of hubcentric rings and they'll be fine, should only be a few dollars. Get onto some local wheel shops of just search for 57.1 - 74mm hubcentric rings on ebay

Hub rings.
Pretty standard size so should be easy to find
