what is the thing that lives under the passenger front guard... its some sort of vacuum motor thing I think...has a hose that connects to the firewall...

thought it might be central locking related but searching google most info seems to say the pump for the central locking is in the boot...

It's a charcoal/carbon/fuel canister.

Just takes the fuel fumes and filters them.

actually i found out its a vcuum pump for the cruise control...the carbon canister is on the other side...
