    Resurrection of a classic

    Hi guys, i bought the twin wreck from Max. Instinct told me back in the day it would be a good fixer but needed my 80 yr old beater to verify that, my dad would have looked at it and would have said yep no worries but needed the gun to look at it. I was well prepared to break this and use it for a conversion. But i had faith in my beater , he still makes stuff with Engish wheels so you see where im coming from . As its fast becoming a cult classic i had to have it and very much got excited when he said yep no worries. My wife needs a car for her teaching jobs now and what a great excuse to give a nice car to her and still own a classic??? yeah?? oh yeah.

      Hopefully getting the VR sent to have its bum fixed in next couple of weeks. Ive decided the Recaros i had destined for my Pog project will now be headin theVR way now. So itll be a rethink for the Polo or another set of Recaros. Mind you i still might get a set of VR seats from the sale section depending how this month goes and they could end up in the Polo Who knows, you know what builds are like.         VW VR6 rear seats. Mint condition | Other Parts & Accessories | Gumtree Australia New South Wales - Sydney Region

        Some cloth ones going cheap on gumtree. Recently shipped the leather out of the other car to newcastle for 50 bucks so cant imagine itd be too dear for freight?

          Really as cheap that for freight? Ill check them out, would really like the recaros in the VR

                  Sorry no pics just yet but happy to say my instinct has been right and no panels reqd at all. Just been for a look after its had it's alignment on the dozer. Really happy with the result. Be painted at the weekend and will be using glasurit, this is Vw specified so not just anything getting mixed up. Needing a smooth untextured rear bar cover and would be so good to have it soon whilst paint is in the gun but essentially can do it anytime

                            Looks like it did! had so much trouble with photobucket for some reason, anyway here is a pic of it back all pulled and painted. it is going back for some imperfections and blemishes but didnt want to hinder the fit up, so ill fit it up, have some fun with the recaros and get it back, there is plenty paint left so ill fix other little dints at the same time, at the same time it allows the paint to weather and ill get a better idea whats next. i got a set of TT wheels, what you reckon? i quite like them on Mk3s, keen to hear feedback, not going to fit the BBS, they going on my cheapie. I also Got A8 replicas that need much love but they look good on the black, u might see them in next pics.
                            Not sure if you guys have seen this pre repairs, im sure they were posted up here, let me know and ill dig them up.

                              Her she is before trial fitment of the lenses, 1/4 has blemish but as before mentioned is going back after im finished to save time, no stress.
                              Bumper bar is only trial fitted too, but looks pretty good
