    Usually it would depend on driver. (My vr as beat a vt ss, but lost to a ****ty d series civic; thanks to Anthony)

    • Sorry to chime in but i got the vr6 tuned last week. Also got a new fuel pump and fixed the exhaust - 2.5" with high flow cat. Car now makes 150kwatw or 203 hpatw. Just wanted to know what you guys think of the results and where to go next. diff?

      To stay a little bit on topic i raced a mates wrx with 203kwatw and it was dead even as well as a 350z. Pretty happy with that!!

              what other work have you done to the vr6 man?
              CURRENT: '76 MK1 Golf 2dr (1.8 8V, twin webers.. soon to be 16v )
              PAST: MK5 GTI Pirelli + MK4 Golf 1.sick + MK3 VR6 (RIP)

                Sorry but there's no way a tune and an exhaust is making 150kw atw. Unless it was on a hub dyno or something, in which case that numbers meaningless. Even heavily built NA vr6s with many thousands spent struggle to hit 150

                      How are you finding the 2.5"? Have any resonators in it? Why not opt for 3"?

                      • Yea probs should of mentioned the supercharger.... The 2.5 is awsome. No resonator. I had a bad feeling that the 3" would have too much drone down low so played it safe. Still sounds ridiculous.

                        Would love to see a mk3 meet happen soon.

                          U made 55hp more than me, and mine was bone stock lol

                          I think about 175kw atw should be like the bare minimum u should be making.

                          Umm Have U Serviced the S/C ?
                          Replacing your valve stem seals will get u more power and give u better compression.
                          Check your spark plugs and look for oil, also take the charge pipe off and see how much oil is on the inside of it.
                          When last did u do a full service ?

                          Just forgot u only flashed your ecu, guess that's ok.
                          There's a few things u can do to get more out of it, but ultimately running a standalone will get u best results.

                            Problem is our Australian 12v's just don't make any power, or at least that's what I get told every time I ask about it..

                              Thanks for the honesty. I guess that's what I'll do next. Full service. I must say the car pulls hard. I haven't done a full service since the sc went in. Around 8000kms ago.

                                U may have done 8k since but its been over a year! Have u at least checked your dip stick ?
                                I'd recommend the 7mm Magnecore leads too, there expensive but worth it. I just found out those red karlyn leads u get off gap an ecs are gay.
                                Also I'm getting a oil cooler, I highly recommend u get 1 too ! Wanna join in, 3ltr devin might get 1 too.
                                Otherwise u could end up being in the same situation as what mark was in !!
