    That's because it is brand new. Replaced it last oil change the old one had a hole in it.

      I never kept track of kilometers in my mk3s, just serviced them every time I needed to swap to a new sump (which was only probably ever 1000km or so haha)

        I can't even remember the last time I hit my sump, didn't hit it once driving to and from Albury...

                    To be fair the 1.8 is quite zippy, same goes for the 2.0. It's all in perspective as well... My mate has a Mistubishi Mirage (I'd say 15 maybe 20kw at the wheels lol) and has to turn off the aircon to get up the Gateway bridge!
