Knocking when reversing and hard cornering

Hi all.
Over the past 2 months or so I've noticed a particularly loud nock when almost at full lock (mainly when pulling down right) reversing and then again when hard cornering. This only happens to occur when I begin a trip so it leads me to believe its the bushings. Has anyone else had this problem and happen to have a good idea of what bushings are causing this? Or what else could be the problem?
I'm thinking of booking it into pedders to get a no obligation check but do not want to be f@$&ed over again like I have in the past with a mechanic telling me I need to do things that I don't haha

Yes had this issue with mine. Not an easy one to diagnose (kept Jmac busy... other places had nfi), from memory it was the spring rotating and resettling at the base of the strut tower.... or something along those lines, but can't confirm. I've heard steering rack mounts/bushes can lead to similar symptoms. I'll ask JMac again when I see him next, was a few years back now.

Do you have after-market suspension at all?

Pedders will recommend a complete suspension make over,don't do it.At worse its the top strut rubbers,they sag over time.Keep away from full lock helps.Its not usually very serious.

Thanks for the replies, yea the guy I bought the car off had put pedders lowered springs on but left stock shocks. I had a feeling it could also be that as it kinda sounds like a spring knock and i noticed a similar sound coming from the rear corners reversing over those ****ty driveway gutters (most of the time it knocks from the front on a level surface). At least it's not serious but I would rather have my car perfect for pease of mind haha. Can you guys recommend anywhere to go? Casey suburbs preferred
