In what respect? As in i'm dreaming of what I want to buy or what people are asking? The 1997 Black one is beautiful but as everyone has said, 8k is far too dear for what it is.
Would you still recommend taking it to a mechanic and have him suggest a price to the owner etc?
How many Ks did yours have and what nic was it in?
cheers!
As in what price people are asking for there cars.
The 97 does look beautiful but yes i'd agree asking a little too much especially with the issues it has.
The Mechanic could give you a suggested price but it comes down to what you think its worth really.
Mine had 110,000ks and was in great condition abs light & sagging roof lining were the biggest issues
I think I got a VERY good deal.
So when I see these VR6's and what prices they want I just think DREAMIN lol.

Trying to get away with a supercharger/turbo on p-plates without an exemption is a bad idea. I'd just play with a NA vr6 until you are off the p-plates (it goes faster then you think, I'm nearly off mine, no idea where the time went) and then playing with FI. These cars make enough power to have some fun with without boosting them, and sooner or later you will get caught if you try and get away with it, and the fines won't be nice.
When I think about it now I'm kind of glad I couldn't get a stupidly powerful car on my P's, even now I'm not sure if I would do it, can just see myself pushing it that little bit too far and wrapping it around a pole or something
Hmmm can't quite match dads 308kw supercharged Jag then... haha.
I know I know, I can't afford 8k or the trip from Melbourne anyway. I'm already impressed by the cars I've driven so don't have any desire for the turbos or superchargers... yet. I'll get in trouble with the VR6 anyway. Already love giving the 2L mk5 FSI a bit of a sting hehe.
