      VAG Com will tell you nothing on a Mk3.
      Sounds like ignition switch. Do you have a big bunch of keys on your keyring?
      As you try to start it, turn the key and then lift it at the end of the stroke., Bring it down and we can fix for you.

        I don't have a BIG bunch on my keys properly only about 6 keys ? haha. I'd love to bring it down but my car isnt starting ! haha.
