  • JOM Coilovers

Has anyone had experience with these coilovers on a golf, i have found reviews they are very mixed but mostly positive this was on an Audi forum.

Anywho it'd lovely to find out about them.

    Cheers.

If you want a cheap and bumpy, but low ride, they're fine. If you're after something remotely comfortable, get weitecs, or KW's or something.

They are very stiff coilovers, mate's mk1 golf took about 3 months for them to settle and wear in, the ride is actually alright now. But I agree with ffoff kw's or weitecs for comfort.

I think, the lower scale Coilovers are essentially the same.

I have tuning arts. I'm about 10mm from as low as they will go and with stretch the ride is more comfortable then my pops AU tickford.

There perfectly livable. Not really bouncy to much.

For performance, the rear is a bit to soft. But the front is perfect.

For only $500 they'll get you scene low. If you want low and comfort you'll want something damper adjustable.

JOM do a set with adjustable dampening:

I was considering these. Sorta priced between the cheap ones From JOM and the intermediate ones like Weitecs.

I had them for 2 years and still do
they're good and soft if your 100mm from lowest point but once you get close to the bump stops it gets bouncy
good on corners abit soft at the rear end. Ive had annoying rubber noises on the front that i could figure out and found out it was the dust boots just needed abit of silicone spray and they shut up

I've got JOM in my mk2. Got mine set at about half way and the car is low. So you can slam the car if
                      you really wanted to.
It is a really stiff ride. I changed my ball joints and after 2 months of driving around Sydney they are already stuff.
                      For $400 they're pretty good.
