  • Need help removing rims

    Ok so I've just bought a vr6

Looking at changing the capliers but can't get the center cap of to get to the nuts I've only manage to take one off but there is still 3 left

The center caps just twist off but 3 of them are really hard to twist

Anyone have any ideas On how it could come off??

What sort of wheels are on it? Just stock steels or something else? If its just standard steelies you just pull the centre caps off, no twisting or anything.

have a pic of which type of wheels you have...? standard VR wheels shouldnt need the cap removed so im guessing you have something a little different

It's some bbs rims not the standard one

One of them needed to be twisted but the other 3 are tight so any tips of how to undo a tight center cap??

Wow. Sound like you've got yourself a nice bonus if they're genuine bbs. I'm going to assume they're rs. There's a tool to take off the hex cap. That's about as much info as I'm good for as I haven't owned a set. (yet)

if they are rs's and you don't have the tool, then you're just going to have to go lift some weight, go back and try again! haha.... it helps if you push towards the wheel as you turn it....

                  BMWs came with that tool.

Just search for BMW wheel tool on ebay

You could also try a big set of multigrips wrapped in a rag, and be very gentle.
