well should probably do a write up of the conversion so here it is
bought this off Matt at Camden GTI in January as my donor, was partically stripped and some little mods already done to it.

was told might have been owned by a old forum member so if anybody knows the car be good to find out what its been through.
        that afternoon started stripping it

took us 2 afternoons to get the engine and sub frame out and then it sat like this while i collected parts to get it up to my liking to put it in (chains, waterpump, various gaskets, clutch and other little things)

then about 4 weeks ago got into gear and started pulling the vento apart

came out quite was enjoying it until this...

but then this happed soon after

after a few problems (starter motor not working.. someone had cut "F" connector out of the engine harness ( cheers to james for finding this for me) ... and not going into gear.. thanks to pete at canberra vw centre for resolving that for me and doing my timing chains)

                    16x8 et52 all round.

                    25mm front adapter > 16x8 et27
                    30mm rear adapter > 16x8 et22

My old setup but was running 35mm rears. et17
