Gday, just thought i'd write about this problem i had in the lest week or so.It sounded like someone installed a supercharger in my 1994 VR6, there was a whirring/whining sound that followed engine speed. Turns out it was the belt tensioner, i regreased the bearings in it using this DIY http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1138497 and sprayed some WD40 into the tensioner itself. All good, no more supercharger...

I'm lazy personally and get Joe at Golfwagen to do everything, except window regulators.RIP Ruby Thunder (1994 VR6), now driving the GF's MK IV 1.6
