  • Got new tyres on. 195/45R15 were unattainable (local tyre shops only sell them in Goodyear F1 GSD3 which meant $210 a tyre; yeah I didn't look very hard ) so I decided to make do with a 195/50. Got a pair of Kumho KU25 (Ecsta AST) for $99 each and I'm quite happy with them at the moment. Tyre noise is very minimal.

They don't look as good as the Falken Ziex ZE329 I have on the rears (same size) and they don't stretch as well. Rim protector isn't pronounced like the Falkens either.

But anyway, it's provided me with the extra clearance I needed, so I dropped it down another 1/2". Doesn't rub anymore

The rears are cambering out quite a bit - had a wheel alignment and got figures of -1.5 degrees... I'm a bit worried but it helps with clearance lol

    Edit - duckbill clearance shot:

              • HAHA yes, rust in a can Actually, rust in a spray bottle! Mixed some vinegar and hydrogen peroxide together with a bit of salt and it was coated with surface rust within an hour. Fun stuff.

And yep, that was your old grille Steve lol. Thought I'd poke some fun while I wait for my badgeless to get done.

No close-ups! I wasn't expecting to have the grille on for this long...

                            • Hahahaha thanks guys :blushes:

It's surprisingly easy to drive - the coilovers are stiff enough not to want to drag the whole car onto the ground over bumps.

                              • Looks good mate... I wouldnt worry about the camber on the back as it looks tuff... Do u have camber shims in the rear to give it -1.5?
