Rims are insured, as are the stereo components. Gunna try and cut a deal to rip the stereo out.

god i hate stupid people.... that guy has the price set for $11,999 in the ad but then the MAIN PHOTO has a big sticker on the front of the car saying $10,999... idiot.

Anyway, 147,000km is a bit more than average for a 9 year old car. I'd offer him $6,500 and hope to get it for less than $8000.

Make sure you ask if the electric windows work properly! also, there is a VR6 Buyer's guide (which IMO should be stickied *looks at Mk3vr6*) so make sure you check that out to get some info up on the seller

For an extra couple of grand you could get a mk4 gti and join the cool club

In all seriouysness - that looks like a fairly clean VR. I like the colour too...

The guy still wants $10k for it though... Where is a good place to get it inspected in VIC?

$10k for an unregistered, 98 model VR6 with almost 150,000kms on it? does anyone else agree with me that this is a bit steep??? i still stick my OP and say offer him $8k or walk away. there is way better deals than this on VR6's...

As for inspections, does state roads do that? I'm sure they have a website or something...

Yeah it does sound a bit steep. I offered him 7... he said he can work with the price, but I gotta be sure I want it... right.

7 is an excellent price for that. 8 is good too...

                              believe me - going from a GL to a VR6 is definitely not a want - it's a need.
