okay i did some research and found out that you can use the front brakes from an audi TT 312mm. the only modification you need to do is that you need to put a 6mm plate between the HUB and Carrier as a spacer to center the calliper aswell as replacing the carrier bolts with high tensile 40mm bolts . And good news is that i can use 16" rims but not 15" . looks like im gona try it out .94' Golf Mk3 Vr6

I was under the impression you could run 312mm brakes using mk 4/TT (312) carriers and existing VR calipers. Can't remember if the existing caliper were 280s or 288's.
And yes, 16 will be the minimum you can run, and you might run into trouble depending on the wheels brake clearance.
Tim would be the man to ask, as he has 312mm brakes!

As the others have said, it can be done. Regarding the back brakes, there really isn't a lot of point in upgrading those too much, they don't do a lot anyway. Mk4 rear calipers are a nice bolt on mod though, theyre a fair bit lighter and such.
Mainly posting to say, can't wait to see those wheels onI very seriously considered a set a while back
