  • Help! VR6 Brake light problems

    Long story short:

Got defected last Friday and its booked in for inspection at the pits on Friday.
I put in the original indicators and air box and now my brake lights don't work... None of them.
I checked the fuse and its not the fuse. Any ideas? I'm screwed if i can't fix this soon!

    Globes?

I'd say the switch, but generally if that fails, the lights stay on all the time.

I have my doubts that all 3 of my brake lights blew globes at the same time. My guess is the switch. Would that be something I could fix in 2 days

        have you got a multimeter?
above the brake pedal is the switch, i would be testing that the switch is actuating. if not as mentioned before that would be the issue.
if it does work then test the relay.

        hope that helps

Check your globes. I encountered the same issue once, all brake lights went out and fuse was fine. Turned out the globes decided to die all at once.

So its definitely the switch. I had a fiddle with it and got it working last night. Got home tonight though and the lights weren't working again. May have to invest in a new switch!
