  • VR6 Lack of power

Latly my VR6 has been playing up and losing power after it had been sitting idleing at the traffic lights. After strugling through the power loss, i back off and let the car idle, and it clears up and goes as well as ever. WHATS GOING ON!! This is giving me the ****s.

compression tests are easy to do, i always try to do them when ever i have the plugs out. sounds like it could be a bad fuel pickup, maybe your pump filter in the tank is blocked , so it will only pump a small amount of fuel. and when you nail it it gets used , they when you back off the fuel pump catches up. worth thinking about.

Yeah think I have a similar problem, not as bad as Science described, mine normally occurs whilst already moving at low speeds, accelerate and there's no power for a few seconds (like there's no fuel) then it kicks in and all back to normal. very annoying!
