Mkiii side indicators

i was driving past a mkiv today on the freeway and noticed that the stock side indicators are crystal clear.

they look very similiar in size and shape to the stock mkiii items.

anyone know if they will fit a mkiii as a straight swap??

i like these little subtle changes and think they will look good.

if these dont fit, anyone know where i can get some clear ones for front bumper and side indicators?

The later oval type?

They are the same part on the 6N polo, B5 passat, mk4 and the mk3.
I changed mine from the factory smoked ones to aftermarket black background ones but i had to get the mk4 loom plugs (for both sides) as the new ones have the mk4 push-in rubber plug with the bulb in it.

If you pull your indicators off (as i found out) the ones i had have a bayonet 'twist and shut' thing going on...if you need the mk4 plug and 2 wires coming off them,
a mk4 at a wrecker should have them. Easy to wire the different plug into your mk3 loom. If you need them.

yeah i've got the oval ones not the square ones.

so it shouldnt be too hard then??

all i've gotta do now is find some!!

Easier to just get mk3 ones i say. TMtuning or even eGay have em and at a reasonable price too

i got mine off ebay for about $30 including shipping
They are hella ones too (except mine are smoked, not crystal - shouldn't make much difference tho...

I just ordered some crystal MK3s for my VR6, mine are rectangle ones but i'll let you know how they go. $35 shipped from evilbay.
