For what its worth I've done a lot of searching around the net for opinions on pretty much everything performance related for the vr6 as I'm about to undertake a bit of a vr6 build, and it seems like a set of Schrick or DRC (if you can find them) 268s are the way to go, or if its just for track and all, TT 288s. 276s aparently dont make much if any more then the good 268s but do lose it down low, and if losing power down low doesnt bother you, then you may aswell go the 288s which give a massive kick up high in the rev range
I've got 276s in mine and need a new computer. You can get the cams for about $500ish from a good supplier but you'll pay a fair whack for a computer to run them. Mine ran ok for about 5000k then chucked a skitz and hates life, time for a computer...
