  • My VR6 Mk3 Colour Concept - Green.

    Hey all.

Long time viewer shot time poster here! So my latest addition to my house is a 1995 (reg96) vr6 colour concept. Got it for a good price and still need to fix a few things up.

Rego and roadworthy are all there so I'm happy!! and looks awesome in the shed parked next to my mk1. worst is, i bought this as a car for me to use as and when (ride to work on my push bike) i need it and continue throwing money into the mk1, but now i find myself on ebay typing in 'mk3' instead of 'mk1'

fook it, coilovers and some rad wheels are not far away! I do have a set of polished zender turbos that might look the part? hub adapters? yes please!

Any know of rotiform dealers in Aus??? would love a set of BLQ or NUE wheels.....

    enjoy.

    Phil

anyone know the original price of this and exactly how many are in this colour in Aus? i've been told 5 or 20?

Not sure of any dealers but buying direct from Rotiform themselves would only set you back $500 for shipping (that's what they quoted me last week) so it'd be worth it before the dollar dives again.

The BLQ's would be a great wheel as they're slightly similar to the stock VR6 wheels (inasmuch that they're a star pattern) and could catch a few onlookers out

Looks awesome, 20 Greens, 20 Blue, 20 Red, 20 Yellow, 20 Black. (All '95, falls under the OBD 1 tag)

Price was just a bit above regular VR6, use search function for differences, mainly door trims with leather right up to the window seal and lights at the bottom of the card and stuffed armrest, side badge inc' gay rights rainbow (or what ever its meant to be), leather recaros (hardshelled, heated and can be tilted).

Go Euro lip, and a pinch lower. I frankly like it stock looking, but I'm getting old.

Also I've got a spare VR6 grill, if you want to go 3 slat, and yes people crash VR6s all the time, decent power nose heavy FWD and young people being silly = battle wounds.

Also give Alba Euro a call (see sponsors), beg for a spot with the VW wizard/whisperer when you want to have those gremlins sussed, or at least direct to the right place.

VR6s new were $48k right? So would be around that vicinity. Very cool Colour Concept though, always loved that green!

LOL nice! when i parked it in the shed next to the mk1 i started wroking on it straight away!! then got dirty and got back to polishing the vr!
                          Tow bar has already gone

I will be honest, looking back at the pics they do this car alot of justice, paint is peeling on the rear hatch near the spoiler and c pillars, previous owner sprayed the roof matt black as the laquer was peeling, but all the trims are there, foam still under the p/s dash, heated leather works a treat and obviously, spark plug tool!! first up is a little service work and new speed sensor, brakes need replacing then tint the windows again, and maybe some coliovers, its amazing as it is tbh but a nice set of wheels wouldnt hurt!! I dont want the Mk1 to get too neglected as it hasnt had much loving lately.

It was on gumtree a while ago, I was in need of a run about as the mrs drives my old camry and its a piece of *****. so from a 6n polo or mk3 cl turned into this little gem!

Will deffo be at some of the shows, i was at Rosemarys and Tonys (HAH44) place the other weekend, they will let me know as soon as there is something going on! looking forward to being there, maybe one day i will have this and the mk1 at some of the shows!

                          Cheers,

                          Phil.
