Have you looked into some hottuning coilovers?

I believe there are sellers on this site that are local (Slammed Distribution).

alot of guys from here buy off Slammed Distribution. Also check out Ebay you get some great deals off their. Even better if you know someone that speaks/reads german, go to the german ebay site and find exactly what you need for less! Happy hunting. Might I suggest the cheaper they are, well you should know the saying - "you get what you pay for."
I spent that extra and bought good quality coilovers and did sway and anti-roll at same time. Well worth it. Happy Hunting!

I haven't tried hot tuning (but a bunch of guys on here are running them so they must be ok) but the fk streetlines I think are great. Not as harsh a ride as I expected and driving performance seems solid as well.

hottunings are basically exactly the same as all the other cheap ebay coilovers, I had them on my vr6 and got them straight from hottuning direct in belgium or whatever through ebay for half what the local guys wanted, I feel bad telling people that as theyre doing a good thing trying to set up slammed distribution or whatever, but when you dont have a large disposable income a few hundred dollars means a bit.

Next coilovers Ill probably buy are these CXRACING 92-98 VW Golf MK3 Damper Coilover Suspension | eBay havent heard anything but good about them.

Wish I pulled the trigger and bought them before the aus dollar tanked D:

mate I'd get the FK's over Hot Tuning's. I've heard good review of the streetline riding nice and plush, and they offer a good drop too.

I've recently changed from HT's to FK and I am loving it. Worth every penny over the hot tunings.

Slammed deals with FK's. Ask them to point you in the direction of the streetline and get a quote

You should give ST coilovers a go, i have them on my mk6 and they ride pretty good. Retail at $799usd as well so u can get them here under 1k!

i would recommend to spend a bit more and get slightly better coilovers, i have the fk street line and i absolutely hate them. The handling was fantastic but i hated the ride comfort, and one started to leak after a year. Ive currently ordered some weitec to replace the fk

I've got KW coilovers myself, I saved up my dollars and went all out with V2 LE's... bloody fabulous!

Have been in cars with hottunings and they dont seem that bad either.

                              Go for something quality.

                              Look at Brands like:
                              - KW
                              - FK
                              - Weitec
                              - Koni
                              - Bilstein
                              - H&R

Remember the suspension is the bit that connects you wheels to your car, having quality, comfy, responsive suspension is a must. And if you want to run a "slammed" car getting some good coilovers will keep your girlfrinds happy with a comfy ride.
