Thanks guys! Been driving it for a week now and it has been really sweet doing it! Just sorting out all the little things now that are niggling me but thats about it.
Some more updates this week with a little mishap that I had on Tuesday and also some more pics of the car in total.
I am really not happy with the front bar and going to be redo-ing it again in the near future but at the moment you can't really tell and this one can just cop it for now
Hopefully going to see Alex G over the next few weeks so more progress to be made, with a few other sneaky things in the pipeline aswell...... And to top it all off still need wheels.......FARK!
Ok so a bit of a update with what happened last week, took it on a lengthy drive about an hour on Tuesday from home-Homebush-Moorebank. On the highway I noticed the car getting warmer than normal roughly at 100-106 C. When I got to work I opened the bonnet to see this:
Oil had gone every where all over the clean bay. From first impressions 'Oh **** what the ****, FML for fark sake!#*@!$*!#'
Once I had finished with what I was doing I took it to Camden GTI who told me to bring it around, it was great that he could fit me in to his busy work load, had not seen him in a while so when I pulled up to his new shop 'HOLY FLUCK', he waived me in and we had a chin wag, copped a few looks from his mechanic and a passer wanting to hear what all the woohah was all about.
What I had done was had a little sick bro air filter where it vented out of the rocker cover, the amount of blowby was pissing me off so I blocked it up (rookie mistake) So obviously on Tuesday all the back pressure was going no where and it came out of the oil cap.....
After we got rid of the little black box and routed some cables, oiled her back up and changed a oil pressure sensor which was leaking a little all is good in the hood again
Still on the search for wheels but have narrowed it down to a few sets I am liking at the moment.
But I am still getting used to driving the car again, its great, its done about 400kms run in so far only another 600kms to go before she is bedded in.
