Well I thought I would bring this thread back from the dead and after a very long sleep its time to move my butt and kick this thing into gear and start making progress and well last weekend I made a ****heap of preogress
Well start from just before I went overseas way back in July, at the beginning of July I got the car back from the panel beaters and so I started working on the car (some of the pics are repeated just to jot some minds again lol)
Car was brought back it hasn't been together like that in 3 months.
At the same time I moved the build to a new garage bigger more room and I wasn't getting told off for the amount of crap I was leaving everywhere courtesy of my grandparents
Front seats came out and I started changing and pulling stuff out for cleaning and also for new improvements
I then started to clean the engine bay it deserves it and all the crud and crap that has sat there for 13 years is pissing me off;P
So I took the water bottle out and started cleaning things I could left right and centre. Moving and making way for my battery relocation I then got to work on the geadlights and got them set in and wired up. I had to crimp the turns into the headlights so that the turns would work in the headlight like a mk4 Wrapped them up and sealed them up good so nothing is going to get through!
Before I left I also did something for then that I had lying around for years and thought it would be cool lol, so I set up a air horn lol. The setup required a bracket so I got to work on that and welded it up and gave it a coat of zinc for protection, its going to be sitting quite low so it needs to be protected
After that I crimped the wires and ran them to the red cannister to the pump system
With the help of William I then got to work on my braking setup with some cleaning up, detailing and some added extras
Insides were scrubbed and cleaner alot more than what they look like in the photos thats for sure
Ahh yes the braided lines courtesy of GAP thankyou very much guys!!!
Then I gave everything the black treatment following the same line I want my car to follow the black and white theme, the calipers, carriers and backing plates got the gloss black treatment. Someone approves the work The following being Sunday we got the rears done, same process was done again everything taken off, degreased, cleaned, and glossed black:] Braided lines were then put in and the GAP fit in really snug and quite happy with there finish for the price they were well worth it
Once again got approval from William
Didn't get any photos of the finished products but they are all done and look really really excellent everything under the wells is clean and looking beautiful
Then with a bit of extra time we started this
As you can see the throttle body has seen better days and will get some cleaning treatment
The intake tube behind the throttle body has seen better days
Will be getting rid of this so stay tune for some changes.
Well with all that this weekend is set to be a big one again I have a few guys helping me with my stereo and battery relocation and I hope to get all that done
I feel progress is getting done and that I can now see DOVW in the horizon
Thanks guys I was happy with the progress that I made over the weekend the suspension and brakes are complete and done This weekend I hope to get the sound system and battery relocation done, and possibly the headliner
