  • which wheels?

Ok -so its killing me driving around on these stock wheels.

Time for a new direction. I am trying to decide between the following:

17" Porsche wheels - like maybe a cayman or boxster wheel?

17" Rotiform BLQ's or NUES probably in piano black - not sure how these will look on a static dropped car.

16" BBS RS's powdercoated matte black with anodized bolts (staggered fitment) 7" front 8" rear

Anyone know off hand what size adapters I'd need for the RS's?

    I would go the Nue's.
BLQ's look too similar to the standard wheel imho.

Porsche's would be my second choice.

    RS's are now overdone.

Depends what you buy. some bbs rs you might not even have to buy adapters if your lucky!

RS have been flogged to death for a reason... that look so damn good!

Any of the above will be a winner, probably cant go wrong with the porsche wheels as they should turn up cheap

Hmmm the rotiforms are tempting, no need for adapters for one thing. I kind of hear you on the BLQ's but I think I like the fact they are OEM plus looking. decisions decisions, have found a pretty good set of RS's -exy but they are sweet.

            16x7 and 16x8, so tame!

None of those sets will be cheap, rotiforms will be pretty original in aus though.

And despite rs's being 'overdone', few people have really mastered them in AUS! and they're timeless

Hey offset gurus, say I had my eye on a set of 17 inch bbs's that were 8 inch wide and had an offset of 20, would there be any conceivable way these would fit? My calculations tell me inner clearance would be fine and they would stick out 42mm more than a stock wheel, but that would be as a redrill (might not be possible) with an adapter I think it would be nearly impossible??

thats what i thought - too much poke, can you only redrill if the face is flat? Its a BMW wheel.....maybe I should just get over it and get rotiforms

If they are flat backed and centre bore allows get them redrilled, id imagine those specs before adpaters would be nice on a mk3?
EDIT: you beat me to it! I have a feeling BMW are centre bore 72 ish... might be to much, but ill let Ray or another expert answer that.

                      here's the rotiforms:

Am considering the nues as well - maybe in piano black or gun metal

heres some bbs's I was looking at

and here's how I'd do the BBS RS's I'm looking at (not everyones cup of tea but pretty different.)

                      cause we all like pictures!!

If you murder out the BBS RS, go for matching bolts and centrecaps (if gold badge like above, use gold bolts; if the chrome BBS badge, then polished bolts )
