  • Anybody want anything from germanautoparts?

Anybody need anything from germanautoparts ? Im getting a bentley manual, short shift kit (maybe), thermostat and thermostat housing so it totals at least $100. If anybody wants anything i can combine the order and save on postage otherwise ill just grab my order and run.

Ive sent an email on how much initial postage should cost and if its reasonable ill order it for sure. Theres also mk1,2,3,4 stuff but i thought id post it here

hey pedro. I was thinking about fog lights http://www.germanautoparts.com/Volks.../Lighting/88/2

    3 questions..
    1. Why is one so much more expencive ? is it because of projector?
    2. I would need an euro switch as well.
    3. Which are the once you have and how much did you pay for them again?

Nah i wouldnt go for headlights from there too expensive. They separate theirs into just lens or the entire unit which is what u want (lens, projector, bulb holder all assembled). I paid $120 for mine all up inc. both sides and the euro switch cost me $80. I got mine from ASV but it was new old stock and i only just managed to get the set thanks to Tony. You can call him up hes a forum sponsor and ask him whether he got any left.

You wont need a euroswitch if u wire your foglights to your original DRL's/parkers, a euro switch just allows u to turn the foglights on/off at any stage where as wiring into your original switch they will be constantly on once the parkers/normal beam is on. These guys specialise in maintenance/repair parts rather than customisation stuff so they arent cheap in this sorta department.

I hope that helps you louis!

Many cops get narky if you have your fog lights on at the same time as normal headlights. Or at least they do over here. Best to get a euro switch.

My headlight switch has the pull out function and the little foglight indicator underneath, does that mean mine is a euro switch?

Not necessarily, single light + fog picture is standard. A euro switch pulls out twice and has two fog icons whereas aussie ones pulls out once for the rear foglights. Euro u can turn the foggies on (front and rear) when the parkers are on but aussie ones u can only turn the rear foglight on when the normal beam is on. Ill try and get a pic tomorrow if i remember
