  • Wrong place to post vans55us this is Hayden's build thread...

    • Well I am still a Newbie so I am not allowed to look in the classifieds yet until I have enough threads or something.
So if you know I am in the wrong place maybe you have a direction to the right place..?
I figured since it was a build thread someone was building one and must have gotten parts from somewhere
and might have been kind enough to point me in that direction?

      • That's alright I figured that was the reason, give Camden gti a call Matt should be able to sort you out with whatever you need.

        • Shweet I will look into the lead.. I currently reside in the Cayman Island in the caribbean, but my girlfriend is home in Melbourne for a quick visit so I am trying to sort something before she heads back.

          • Today I went for a trip down to Sydney. Whilst checking the fluids and under hood accessories, I thought I'll check out the shifter assembly on top of the gearbox. The whole thing was wobbly, held together with zip ties and bolts finger tight.

            Da fuq?

                  Later that afternoon:

Nearly as low as the coil overs permit. But because of the poke up front I can't really go to much lower. Still need to put my lip back on too.

                  • What was it they failed the wheels on? Adapters, stretch, poke? Combination of the three?

                    • I think it was the stretch and poke.

So I went for a F-U drive past today to make sure he saw me.

The tyre shop reckons its at max camber. At only 1.2 degrees.. Pretty poor effort considering stock you can pull the subframe out a couple degrees 'apparently' plus there untouched fenders.

As it is with the duckbill there is a bees **** of clearance. So don't really want to go to much more.

                              • Not sure if it's just me, but can't see any pictures at all.

On another note with the change to the 1.8T MAS, would you recommend this? did you look into the 24V VR6 option?
