I've seen two yellow colour concepts, one in perth, and one in melb. The melbourne owner had no idea about what he had..

Woodgrain's just an aftermarket add-on. There are carbon fibre inserts too. In the end, good ole' black plastic looks the best.

Well then, I was TOTALLY off. I think I was quoting numbers for the Mk4 R32

Didn't know they were THAT rare.

Thanks for that link, I like the yellow! Maybe the photos seemed washed out but that pale yellow goes well on the Golf.

The seats are heaps more bucketed than stock VR6 ones and they fold forward, even in the 5 door cars. The also have colour concept embossed on the back rest.

Heated seats, ugly mags and stickers instead of VR6 are the differences.

Dunoo how many, but my mate has a black one with black leather.
It used to be Auto, but now is manual

                            Roof racks are ugly.

My heated seats perished a long time ago and the leather is also looking pretty worse for wear.

Cant say my brake pedal has a short travel either.

I like the stock rims personally, although mine has some dodgy after market Korean ones on it. I'm the 3rd owner and the 1st one still has the rims, no idea how to track her down though.

I definitely agree with the suspension comments in that yellow car's page. Not very good on crap roads.

I've got a theory - for what its worth - that the suspension's a bit mad because of the self steer on the back wheels. The back wheels are constantly going from toe in to toe out on our roads. If the road happens to be a smooth bend it works brilliantly because as one strut compresses under load it tracks its wheel out. Meanwhile the inside one that goes light tracks in, the geometry is right and the rear steers to follow the front.

On our el-cheapo roads though, one strut can load up for an instant all by itself making the wheel attached to it track out. It just takes a rise or lip in the road to put it into compression. If the opposite strut goes light for an instant at the same time because of a depression in the road, the car will want to go round a corner. Its only for a split second but it can be unsettling if you are pressing on down a straight road.

wow, that explains so much. both my rear shocks are blown, and if the rear end hits a bup on one side, it trys to rear steer.
