Brenton, I didn't think of it that way but hearing you say that makes it all worthwhile. It was good to see the forum grow to this size since I first joined and entered the car at the Nats (2006 I think it was!).

Pedro's first red Mk3 (now in his garage with an ABF), Demil's clean GL (where's that guy gone to now?), and I think Ray's Passat before it got the BL33SU plates. A few years only, but damn, old times!

I'm a bit late to the thread, but sorry to hear that the car is gone. I think we got our Mk3s around the same time, and your threads (and blog) made me inspired enough to try a few DIY things here and there. I'd actually saved most of the pictures that you've posted up in this thread at one stage or another, it's been good to see the car develop over time. Can't wait to see what you do with the next one.

                Haha thanks fellas.

The Mk3, even when dead, is still helping out whenever it can - had an old fella having trouble with starting his Fairlane a little outside my house, so the SH73OX donated its battery for a jump start! I'm still proud of it haha.

Dom, big leagues it is! I'll need to find some time to just sit down and give you a call, got so much to talk about!
