  • MK3 Golf GTi 16V

    Hi
I currently reside in NZ and plan to move to perth over the next 18months, can anyone please let me know if the Gti16v is available in Aus. Spent alot of money getting mine in prestine condition and weighing out the options of either spending some money and bringing across or selling at aloss in nz?

Also what are the average cost of a clean GTi in perth?

    Cheers

AFAIK, only the VR6, CL and GL models were available new in Australia. Bring her over!

Bring it across. Should only cost about $1500-$2000.. Cheaper than buying and building another one!

They are either built by owners or personal import, Mk3 GTI has never official available in oz

Despite everyone saying bring it I reckon it all depends on how much it will cost to ship and complance it. If the shipping + compliance and registration costs anywhere near to half value of the car I would forget about it! Keep in mind that it is really hard to sell a mk3 golf for good money these days

Maybe bring across a heap of spares. And bang them into a local car.
