Are they the ones that fit over the subframe, where the control arm bolts are?
    Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
    Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

from i can gather its bolt below the subframe on the control arm bolts as you said ray. im not sure what to do with the triangle tab the come off the brace. one of these Volkswagen Jetta III 2.0 > Suspension > Strut Bar > ES#1832844 JOM Lower Strut Bar - 21033 . also can anyone tell me what the heavy cast steel block is for that is bolted to the subframe this seems to interfere with where i think the brace goes.

the tab triangulates to the subframe. There is usually a corresponding hole that you can use. If you can always drill one.

Iv got one of these that I have been meaning to for for a while.

The back hole needs to be drilled bigger for the cap screw/nylock nut!
