    yeah you are right.

I haven't notice many with other setup than kw's. i'd be interested to see who has a bilstein or other coilover setup or other than kw's. it seems although we can only source kw's and nothing else.

Tim has bilsteins, I think they are over $4000 here and the Konis were $3000, I was going to import some, but seeing as I could get such a good deal here their was no point

Yeah I've heard Tim has the PSS9s. Didn't realise they were THAT expensive though!

I've asked GTsuspensions in Melbourne before about their Koni coilover kits (the one with the grey and red design) - $2700. A shop in America (WRD) have discounts on those all the time. Saw their thread in the VWVortex Mk3 forums and they were selling them for ~$1000USD and that's including postage to anywhere in the States. Wish we had such a distributor here

Some of the places want $500USD to ship, plus you have to pay tax or GST or both. It would cost $2000 by the time they get here.

Topperformance the Koni distrubutor wanted $3000 for konis, and they said there would be a month wait

Persistence! From the 5 hours I reckon I spent 1hr scratching my head, 2hrs putting things in wrong and pulling them out again, and 2hrs actually doing the job. To crack the front strut nut I used a ring spanner on the nut and a star-like-allen-key-thingy that fits the inside of the top of the strut

Yeah I messaged the WRD guys and said the shipping was at that mark I failed to remember the govt taxes involved with importing stuff that's >$1000 but you're right, it would end up being the same price if you did the purchasing and shipping yourself

Funny that, I did the same thing. However, mine was screwed on so bloody tightly before that the top of the strut that houses the hex key broke. Cue expletives

I took mine to Seb as I never had the time or tools for that matter he charged me $350 for the install. It took him a little over 4 overs possibly 5 I was too busy playing with my toy tank

Don't forget you will also need new strut mounts if you are changing the shocks might as well do it!!!

Mine are KW V2 stainless steel better than the limited edition ones as they didn't have them at the time!

If you have the no how and tools its a Sunday job really. A wheel alignment is always recommended though after putting cilovers in
