    I got the cheap tyres it was great value
    I got my wheels alligned there as well
    but they say they can't do the camber
    I went back with the workshop manual
    and said you can do it look!! and then they pulled
    the whole we don't have the tool.
    do all mk3s have the tool on the car some
    where??

    Go to Heasmans at St Peters for good wheel alignment, ask for Doug

      that 'tool' be a 18mm (or near that)? spanner! just lazy. no special tool required. just take your wheel off and you can see the two bolts on the strut that if loosened, will give you the play for the camber

            Mate go to Vw and you can buy camber correction bolts that replace the original ones. They have a couple of thou shaved off them. No special tool pal

              Are they expencive??
              would I be able to do it my self??
              and I'm guessing that it will need some
              sort of allignment after its been installed

                Pedro has bought camber-adjusting bolts for $80 a pair (I think...) from Whiteline.
                Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
                Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

                  Yeah mate you would need to have the geometry set after you fit the bolts, whoever is doing the adjustments are best to fit the bolts at the same time. You only need 1 per side mate thats normally enough
