Adding Fog lights to GL Golf

Just wondering if it is possible to add the VR6 fog lights to the GL - to replace the fake ones

Surely you can... Peedman has them, PM him.
I think you need a euro switch as well.

He can tell you all about it.

VR6's have the fake fog lights too.. but u need a Euro switch, a wiring harness, i think a 9 volt relay fuse...

I had a set of JOM spotlights on my vr,which they dont make anymore!! they were the best,h4 very bright not like the ones sold on ebay now.
I wired them through my parking lights.

Yeah ive only seen a few VR6's with foglights most likely owner put them in. Theres a bit of wiring needed but nothing too difficult. If you dont get a euro headlight switch (i.e. switch pulls out twice for the foglights) then u have to wire it all the way back to the dash = me too lazy.

Get the foglights, swap the euro switch for the original one u got then just tap into the wiring harness thats on the radiator support panel and u have working foglights! If your interested ill take some pics when im free

True u could just wire it into the DRL's and put an inline fuse so u dont blow anything...

I had em for over 4 yrs without any fuse,no probs! check my vpic gallery for a pic of the foggies..loved em!!!

Yes but me and my wiring is bad, i burnt out some wires in my last car due to dodgey wiring of gauges lol. Smelt bad for a while
