Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Had something similar happen for my VR last year; pulled up at the place and said I wanted the blueslip done, he walked outside and briefly glanced at it, conversation went like this:

              "Is the car good?"
              "Yep"
              "Are the brakes good?"
"Yyyyyep..." (not really, I must admit)
"Okay come inside, I'll get cracking on the paperwork"

Aaaand that's it. Note that this was my regular mechanic and he later turned out to do some realllllly bodgy work - who woulda thought?

that roadworthy list isn't too bad. Most of nearly all of that stuff is normal wear and tear items, and some of it's kidna important for your safety!

Volkspower will take care of you though. I've always found the 'no - bullsh*t' attitude pretty refreshing (although it might take some gettting used too! )

I'm just in burwood, so I look forward to seeing your car around! Looks real tidy, so congrats on the purchase!

Well here's an update. All of the RWC stuff got done, Volkspower did a good job and although it did cost me, it's probably best that it all got done. Anyway I turned 18 today, had my drivers license test at 8:35am and passed! Also I got some personalised plates for my birthday which read "PATVR6" (my name is Patrick if you hadn't realised that already) which I might put some photos of up later! They're red with white writing which sounds very flashy but they look great and I'm happy with them Also got a bit of cash from my relatives which is fantastic, so I'm looking at car audio now! How exciting! Looking forward to school finishing so I can go for a drive...
