  • Seats for the Mk3

I'm lookin at getting new seats fellas.
mine are falling to pieces and it is almost too painful to drive for more than an hour i love driving that car!

does anyone have any spare mk3 seats (preferably vr6 ones) that they are willing to sell to me for a decent price?

if not, where is a good place to look and also how hard is it to fit some nice recarro's?

Highly sought after things I reckon. I was looking for a pair too for my own GL, but not anymore though. If I find a pair, I'll point them to you

BTW, where are you located? I know that MercWreck (car wrecker down in Melbourne) have a set of these for 200 each.

yeh i should update my profile.

I'm on the Central Coast of NSW so anything in Sydney/Newy is fine. just nothing south of wollongong or north of cessnock haha.

i'm assuming they just stick straight in? i've taken my current ones out for a clean once or twice and that is simple as.

                no seriously that is perfect.

i figure your in the same boat as me: saving to get better parts and it is taking longer than expected because other stuff just keeps popping up (i.e. bills and other "must-buy-now!" items)

No not really. I have a vr6 besides mine I currently have with some work getting performed on it

And the seats just won't do for what this project needs!

Also the fact that I am doing my daily aswell with coilovers and a few other spicks and specs

A bit more work to get in, but if you're handy with a welder or know someone, can be a piece of cake. But, if you're going for Mk4 seats, go leather

Yeah I agree the leather mk4 ones are really nice. Very comfortable and not very sticky like some leathers

leather in the mk4 was not factory but a aussie dealer option here. those ones on ebay are cheap enough to get re upholstered in your leather choice or alacantra 2 tone,,yum!!
