One second im just cruzing along, and the next i have a terrible noise coming from the clutch area, put my foot on the clutch and its as solid as a rock, would not move.

so its back at the guys that did the clutch a month or so ago and im just waiting by the phone!

**Edit** The speedo read 200001 when it came off the tow truck

Apparently something has broken between the clutch slave cylinder and the thrust bearing.

Should they have noticed it when they changed the clutch? they are trying to tell me that the flywheel and clutch combo i have is to blame....

im not a happy camper right now.

I got an email back from the crowd i bought the setup from and they said the only explanation for this kind of failure is installer error.

I'd better not be forking out for the labour on this one!!

BlackVR6, Keep your head up dude.....You think your car hates you, how do you think i feel....remember all that overheating trouble ive been having....

My car is with Golf Loon getting a new engine put in....its costing me an arm and a leg to do but i need the car so desperately as were expecting and the missus could drop any minute....

Whether its a cracked head or head gasket, i was told it was cheaper and easier to just put a new lump in...i just hope and pray that once its all done i dont have any other problems......

                    i feel your pain.....

I know guys, this sucks bigtime!

Apparently when Golf loon compression tested it, cylinders were ranging between 130 and 150...cylinder 6 was 90psi......so either a cracked head or gasket on the side leaking gases into my cooling system making it overheat...that would explain why all my hoses were popping left right and centre!

Everyone is tellling me to sell the VR after its fixed....even if i did and i got 7k for it...what else am i to buy with that money???......thank God i get the car real cheap, so even with the cost of a new engine i can still make my money back....

Now i just cant wait to get it back and i pray i dont have anymore probs after that.....fingers crossed! but i tell you one thing, in the finance department, after this job it has cleaned me out......

I just finished paying for the last lot of work on the VR6... and now it looks like im up for another bunch of labour not to mention any parts that might be needed!

Still i love my golf, and i doubt it'd find anything anywhere near as fun for the money.
