My air-con didnt work when i bought my car, and that didnt bother me. With summer coming up however i was having a little poke around when i was checking my oil, and found that fuse #6 (air con/blower) was a 30A, while the bentley lists it as a 20A.
Furthermore, relay position 1 (air con) is empty and i can't see any relay labelled with a 13 (as the bentley says).
When the car is running and i hit the air con switch the engines idle picks up slightly, but the compressor clutch doesn't engage.
i understand that my car may vary from what is in the manual, as its not specifically covered, but as far as i can tell (from my quick inspection) everything else on the fuse box matches up.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what i should do next to figure out where the problem lies? I'd like to do as much as possible to figure out the problem before i take it to an air-con specialist. (I know i can check the AC pressure switch to see if it is faulty and telling the compressor not to switch on - whether there is pressure or not)
