My Mk3 Golf @ 248Km/h!!!

This has never happened before...

This morning, at 3:50am I was driving my Mk3 GL with my speedometer showing 248Km/h, and yet I was not breaking any laws...

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!?!?

Has anybody else had this problem???

Well, it was early and I could have been seeing things...

Nah, the speedo was playing up, but it was fine this afternoon... I wanted so badly to tape it and post on YouTube, as it looked fantastic!!!

I'm hoping to remove the instrument cluster on the weekend, so hopefully I'll be able to check all connections etc to see if it was just a loose wire or a short or something...
