  • Vr6 rims

Hi everyone, I'm looking around for some rims to suit my vr6 but having a bit of trouble deciding on what style will suit. Heres a pic of my car and the rims I nearly brought, although some other opinions would be nice. If you know of any others please let me know.

I think those wheels would look quite nice depending on the size/offset ect, with the car a bit lower too. There are nearly infitinte combinations of wheels though, find a pair that appeals to you and go for it. Looking through threads liek the mk3 apreciation thread, the what inspires you thread and even like through DemonVW Photo Search - The World's largest searchable database of VW Photos. may give you some more ideas.

Photochoppiung those wheels onto your car could also give a rough idea as to what it would look like

If it were me I would go with some old porsche wheels. They look good on mk3's and they are cheap as, but you have to run adapters obviously.

      D90's real cheap!

Like I said you will need adapters, plus get some tyres cheap off ebay and you're set!

      Sick!

If you want to go for the mesh-look similar to the first picture you posted up, maybe try out some second-hand BBS wheels. There's a few sets (one sub-$1000, the other $2.5k!) of OEM Subaru Liberty BBS forged wheels that are 17x7 ET55. They hold a similar appearance to what you posted up, but in my opinion suiting the body shape of the Golf a lot more. There's been a few Mk3 Golfs running those wheels and they look perfect - definition of OEM+. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some pics of VR6_Dog's old car, and that blue 2-door VR6 in Tasmania (my internet's capped!).
        Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
        Present: Mk3 Golf variant.
