    Some photos of current new wheels fitted, what do you think. I dont think there is enough clearance

      Looks good, but on standard springs, think you are going to rub. Depends how much travel there is in the suspension. I'm lower than that, but my setup is FIRM.

        I had a Mk3.5 Cabrio with 16x7 (no idea what the ET was) and had 205/45x16 tyres. Had no issues with rubbing or anything. Ride was good, even at 38psi.

          Yeah, thats my thoughts too, not knowing exactly what springs are in the front, maybe if Ican tell what shockie then maybe you guys can shed some light on travel etc. Ok I have taken some photos of shockies are some sort of Koni Adjustable Sport - these were on the car when purchased, the springs appear to be proper progressive rate, ie the three bottom rings are much tighter spaced than the rest. will post a photo maybe someone can tell me more about them.
