  • Seat warmers.

Someone once told me that Color concepts have heated seats. In europe, my Scottish friend tells me, All Leather clad VR6's Have heated seats. Can i fit seat heaters to my leather VR6? could i go to the wreckers and get heater elements out of anouther car (non VW) and fit them? I used to do heater recalls on jeeps all the time, so i know that they can be removed and how to do it. I jus wonder if i could take a heater from a Wrecked Jeep Grand Cherokee or similar and fit them to my car.

My yellow leathers dont have heaters as it was retrimmed aftermarket, but they always seem to be boiling hot!!
The characteristics of leather mean they will get to a nice temp even if they are a little frozen in the mornings

My GF loves the heated seats, and I gotta say its growing on me as well.
I have my RED , 3DR MKV GTI with leather in manual and I love it!

i cant afford a new heater matrix, anyone want to donate one to a good cause? we could do a pictorial for the site, and how to do it. (or how not to do it!)

after pulling a dash from a vr6 earlier this year. im not gonna be ready to do another one for at least another 12 months . its a prick of a job!

Lucky my aircon still works for demisting hehe (famous last words).

but yeah. You could retrofit it. there are a lot of walk thrus on vwvortex on how to repair heated seats. Im sure that would give u an idea.

yeah but how blody cold does it get when you flick on the AC to demist the windows, when you've just convinced enough heat to come up through the floor under the rear seats that you leave open for the heat to escape out of !
