    • I was going to suggest either grey or a nice shade of yellow to contrast the paintwork. Looking at the finished items in grey I've gotta say they look really nice.

      • Loving the look of those wheels! gonna look ace on your car.. when are you putting them back on?

        • Thanks Guys I'm relatively happy with them

I'll put em back on after i've given the wheel wells a good cleaning, and had a look at the brakes to see if i can stop the god awfull squeal, oh and also paint the rear ones which i never got around to doing.

Well I have put them on kinda to have a look but until I get rid of the 10ft of wheel gap there is with it being jacked up, its hard to tell how theyll look when its swallowing tyre again. It wont be lowered onto them though until I get my new sump/pump/ect all in, as jacking up the car is a real bitch being so low and not having real tools/engine power to push it up on blocks haha

          • todays efforts...

painted up the brakes and put some anti squeal stuff on the front ones (im skeptical but hey, figured it cant hurt, they were pretty darn bad before i stopped driving it, made me want to set fire to my ears)

also gave the wheel wells a quick clean then through the wheels back on should look decent when its not showing so much tyre again i think

Also ripped out the practically new 3 way coaxial speakers I put in a few weeks back when I finally blew one of the stock tweeters, sold em to a friend, smiled, and put back the stock woofers and these response tweeters I picked up for like $20, sounds much better and i didnt lose too much cash haha.

mounted them up really quick, doesnt look fancy, but theyre hidden so why bother haha. maybe one day ill neaten it up some.

Oh and as its going in for new tyres in the next week or so (when its up and running again and i have cash) I err "found" this so i can run something a little less balloon like

need to find some good tape to reattach the arch trims now, and i'll be happy

oh also spent a fair while trying to find somewhere to buy a 36mm socket to get the oil filter out, no luck :/

I can't remember the last time I did that. Good effort, definitely reminded me of myself when I was super protective of my car haha.

              • turned 18 on the weekend best weekend in a longg time.... anyway...

                i got these

havent had much spare time yet, but did manage to wash the car, clay it, wash again and do a first cut with the polisher.

found out taking those 50/50 before and after shots is actually really hard haha, this is best one I got

Note this is just after the medium cut/gloss polish, still have to go over it all in a finishing high gloss polish, then a layer or 2 of wax did all the stages on the grille, and wow, looks pretty darn sweet.

                        • After a few days of doing a few hours here and there my paints looking pree good if i must say so myself

Has been washed -> clayed -> washed -> polished -> polished again -> polished with finishing polish -> lime prime lite -> 2 layers of Dodo Juice Blue velvet wax -> a layer of dodo juice purple haze. Was going to put red mist on also but have to wait a couple days before the wax to cure first.

still need to put the trim bits back on and stuff, but yeah. oh how nice it would be to drive it again hahah
