aux water pump wont turn off...

The electric coolent pump in my VR6 wont stop! how wierd is that? the 5amp fuse in the engine-bay was blown so i replaced it, but the next time i stoped the car, the aux water pump (i didnt even know it had one! lol) kept running, even after the thermo-fan shut off.

Is the relay dead? any easy way to tell? the thermo fan starts and stops fine...

The pump is very noisy, maybe thats just dead? maybe not?

any ideas?
